Dear Savanna House Family and Friends,
I wanted to reach out with an update for you regarding our coronavirus (COVID-19) measures, asking for your continued support of the guidelines recommended by our local, state and federal health authorities.
We have had a number of families visiting the community since the no-visitor mandate went into effect. We understand your concern for the well being of your loved ones, but ask that you please follow the guidelines in place, which have been enforced as a means of protecting the health of all of our residents and staff.
PLEASE NOTE – at this time, no third party healthcare professionals are allowed on-site unless they have written approval from management. All communication, if possible, should be managed using best practices in telemedicine.
If there is an emergency need to visit a loved one at the community, please contact me directly.
In addition, I wanted to let you know that you are welcome to drop off supplies to your loved ones. We are requiring that deliveries be dropped off at the vestibule. Please call us at 480-900-6815 when you drop off to let us know it has been delivered and we will get it to your loved one as soon as possible. This will allow us to minimize outside contact within the community. Again, we are working our hardest to ensure a coronavirus-free community, and rely on your support to achieve this goal.
I also wanted to notify you that we are implementing in-room dining for at least two weeks. We will be delivering meals to apartments starting tomorrow. In addition, due to social distancing guidelines, we are shifting to small activities and one-on-one activities for continued resident engagement. Our residents will not be isolated to their room, and are welcome to move about the community at their leisure. However, if any residents exhibit respiratory symptoms or fever, we will ask them to remain in their apartment.
Thank you again for your patience and understanding during this challenging time. I am available if you have any questions regarding our coronavirus response measures.
